Description:
Edges of becoming is a collaborative drawing and collage workshop that asks: how can collaborative practices of making work with uncertainty, without trying to resolve it? Through Sara Ahmed's "productive disorientation" and La Marr Jurelle Bruce's "melancholic time" we will work together to emphasize the suspended, sticky states of unfamiliar orientations, alternative temporalities, and unstable figure-ground relations by creating large scale drawings and collages in response to projected videos. We invite anyone interested in collaboration, process-oriented practices, and/or uncertainty to join us by registering via email (above).
