HANA MILETIĆ
Artist Talk

Hana Miletić documents improvised repairs in public spaces—such as taped-up windows and patched tarpaulins—and transforms them into handwoven textiles. This labor-intensive weaving process raises questions about the care and maintenance of urban environments, while reflecting on broader issues of representation and social reproduction.

Based in Brussels, Miletić’s recent solo exhibitions include MIT List Visual Arts (2024), Kunsthalle Mainz (2023), the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rijeka, and MUDAM Luxembourg (2022). Her work has also been featured at the 13th Sharjah Biennial (2017), the Dhaka Art Summit (2023), and Manifesta 14 in Prishtina (2022).

The talk is part of the seminar Textile Research hosted by Ebba Fransén Waldhör, Department of Textiles – Free, Applied and Experimental Artistic Design.
